Green Asphalt Solutions
When you think ‘green,’ asphalt paving probably isn’t the first thing that comes to mind. At Ramsey Asphalt we strive to work with people that have the same goals. Our main material suppliers have converted to using natural gas instead of Diesel and our seal supplier has long ago removed coal tar as part of the formula. We recycle at every opportunity. All broken asphalt that is removed is dropped off at recycle plants and when the job permits we enlist the services of the same recycle plants to provide us with recycled road base (80% recycled concrete and 20% recycled asphalt) for all of our new construction projects. From our suppliers to our implementation we strive to be a proud green paving company.
Porous Asphalt Pavement
You might be surprised to learn that asphalt can be green and environmentally friendly. Porous pavement allows water to flow through it rather than shedding water, reducing water runoff and returning water naturally to the water table.
Leading the way with recycling
At Ramsey Asphalt, recycled materials play a key role in crafting environmentally-friendly custom asphalt solutions.
About 90 million tons of old, removed asphalt pavement are crushed and recycled in new asphalt annually in the U.S. — nearly double the combined total of recycled paper, glass, aluminum and plastics. And Ramsey Asphalt is leading the charge by recycling 100% of the asphalt it removes from job sites.
How Ramsey Asphalt recycles:
- Pulverization
- Full Depth Reclamation
- Onsite Recycling
Ramsey Asphalt recycles the following materials:
- Waste Oil
- Old Concrete
- Old Asphalt
By recycling these materials so new asphalt pavements and base materials can be made, Ramsey Asphalt is able to ensure these items will not end up landfills.
From helping you maintain the look of your parking lot or residential roadway, Ramsey Asphalt has the expertise to help you. Our attention to detail is what separates us from other pavement contractors. We care about the environment so that our roads will last for years to come.
